Antora Expands U.S. Manufacturing with Two New Facilities

April 2, 2026

Antora has doubled its manufacturing and operations footprint to meet growing customer demand for reliable, low-cost energy

San Jose, CA Today, Antora announced the completed expansion of its U.S. manufacturing campus, adding two new facilities near its existing San Jose, CA factory. The newly operational facilities double the company's manufacturing and operations space, accelerating Antora's ability to deliver large-scale thermal energy storage projects across the country and around the world.

This expansion has significantly scaled Antora's multi-gigawatt-hour production capacity, enabled the company to bring additional manufacturing activities in-house, and created dozens of new jobs.

“When we’re speaking with industrial and data center operators, the first question that comes up is how fast can we deliver,” shared David Bierman, co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Antora. “We’ve already shipped gigawatt-hours of storage to the Midwest, with more going out the factory door every day. This expansion means that we can get major projects online faster—enabling the speed to power that this moment requires.”

The new facilities expand Antora’s end-to-end thermal battery manufacturing, adding new  dedicated space for subcomponent manufacturing, research and development, and warehousing. The company now employs hundreds of people across this three-building manufacturing hub.

“Thermal batteries, like the ones Antora is building at massive scale in San Jose, are an essential technology for shifting industry to cleaner energy sources while keeping costs competitive,” said Senator Josh Becker (D-Menlo Park). “California’s commitment to clean innovation has helped build this opportunity, and I'm excited to see companies like Antora investing to manufacture clean energy resources here in California. Now we need to continue ensuring our laws and regulations create a level playing field so that clean industrial energy technologies like thermal batteries can create jobs, strengthen our economy, and power growth.”

“We’re proud to have assembled a world-class team of technicians and leaders with experience from places like SpaceX and Chevron,” shared Jerome Pereira, VP of Operations at Antora. “From machinists to electricians to welders, these are the jobs America needs to solve our biggest energy challenges.”
